Nog even iets over de speech (spreekbeurt) van Fleur. Fleur had het heel erg goed gedaan want ze is doorgegaan naar de volgende ronde (het is een competitie spreken in het openbaar). De volgende ronde was de halve finale en de vier beste kinderen uit haar klas mochten door, en daar hoorde Fleur dus ook bij. In de halve finale had ze het ook heel goed gedaan, maar ze ging niet door naar de finale. Is natuurlijk ook helemaal niet erg, we vonden het toch al knap dat ze door was naar de halve finale. En vandaag bij de assembly kregen alle kinderen die naar de halve finale waren gegaan een “Spreken in het Openbaar Award”. Fleur was natuurlijk heel erg blij en wij zijn heel trots op haar. Ze doet het heel erg goed hier op school.Just a little bit more about Fleur’s speech. Fleur did very well with that and she went through to the next round (it is public speaking competition). The next round was the semi-finals and the four best children from her class were going through, and she was one of them. In the semi-finals she also did very well, but she did not go through to the finals. That does not matter, because it is already very good of her that she went to the semi-finals. And today with the assembly all the children that went to the semi-finals got a “Public Speaking Award”. Fleur was of course very happy with that and we are really proud of her. She is doing so well at school here.
