Fenja bij ons op bezoek / Fenja visited us

Fenja is op het moment in Sydney en vandaag kwam ze bij ons eten. Nadat ze eerst nog ’s morgens de Harbour Bridge had beklommen, kwam ze ’s middags met de trein naar ons toe. Fleur had vandaag haar eerste schooldag en die moesten we eerst nog om 15.00 uur ophalen. En rond 15.40 zou Fenja met de bus bij ons zijn. Dus moesten we snel naar de bushalte na school om haar op te halen. Daarna gezellig met z’n allen weer terug naar huis lopen. Thuis natuurlijk een rondje door het huis gemaakt. Even alles laten zien enzo. Volgens Fenja ziet het er allemaal toch wel heel anders uit dan de voorstelling die je ervan hebt na het zien van de foto’s. Tijdens het eten koken praten we veel over alle dingen die wij hier mee maken en natuurlijk ook veel over haar vakantie in Australië. Het is erg jammer dat ze alweer bijna terug gaat naar Nederland en dus alleen maar vanavond langs kan komen. Maar het is erg gezellig en ze gaat pas rond 22.00 uur met de trein terug naar Sydney. Lieve Fenja, we vonden het super gezellig dat je bij ons bent komen eten en hopen je echt nog eens te zien hier. Dan wel een beetje langer zodat we je alle mooie dingen hier in de buurt kunnen laten zien waar nu geen tijd voor was.

Fenja is in Sydney at the moment and today she came for dinner at our house. After she climbed the Harbour Bridge this morning, she came by train to us. Fleur had her first day at school today so we first had to pick her up at 3 pm. And around 3.40 pm Fenja would arrive by bus. So we had to rush to the bus stop after school to pick her up. After that we walked home together. At home we made a little tour through the house of course. Just to show how we live here. Fenja says that it all looks different from how she thought it would be after looking at the pictures. During cooking we talked about all the things we do here and of course we talked a lot about here holiday in Australia. It is a shame that she has to go back to Holland so soon, and that she can only stay for dinner. But we are having a great time and it is almost 10 pm before she goes back to Sydney by train. Dear Fenja, we really loved it that you had dinner at our home and we hope we can invite you here again. You should stay longer here then so we can show you all the beautiful things in the area, that we did not have the time for now.
