Op de website van Bart en Jennefer Cleeren (Nederlanders in Sydney met hetzelfde visum) lazen we dat zij naar de Immigratie Dienst in Parramatta moesten om een sticker te halen voor in hun paspoort. Dat was wel even schrikken want wij hebben ook helemaal geen stempel of sticker in ons paspoort. Dus ging Erik maar bellen met de Immigratie Dienst om te vragen hoe dat zit. Blijkt dat we toch eigenlijk wel die sticker moeten gaan halen in Parramatta. Die moet je in je paspoort hebben als je bijvoorbeeld wordt aangehouden door de politie of als je het land uit en in wilt. Dus gaan we vanmorgen samen met Erik naar Parramatta om de stickers te halen. Nu zijn we helemaal legaal in Australië.

We were a little scared because we also do not have a stamp or sticker in our passport. So Erik called the Immigration Services to ask about that. And they told us that we need a sticker as well and that we have to come to Parramatta to get it. You must have the sticker in your passport for example when you get stopped by the police of if you want to leave and enter the country. So this morning we went to Parramatta with Erik to get the stickers. Now we are officially legal here in Australia.
